Reasons Why Olive Oil is Beneficial

Fats are usually one of the most avoided things on the planet. Most people think they shouldn’t use or consume any of these because of the harmful effects on health. However, this is a common myth. Fats are essential for the body for energy and other functions. Only saturated fats may cause complications, but healthy fats are vital to people’s health. One of the world’s healthiest fats is olive oil, especially if it is very pure and extra virgin. Most olive oil producers and manufacturers offer the best and high-quality olive oil processed with finesse and delicacy. For example, companies like The Olive Hunt provide customers with satisfactory olive oil products and services. These products are guaranteed to be safe and healthy.

Why should you use extra virgin olive oil?

You should use extra virgin olive oil since it is healthy and nutritious. Replacing other cooking oils with extra virgin olive oil when frying or sautéing foods would make such a massive difference not only on the taste and flavour but also on every food intake’s health effects. It contains vitamins like vitamin E and K as well as healthy fatty acids. Studies have shown that about one tablespoon of olive oil contains 14% saturated fat, 73% monounsaturated fat, 13% vitamin E, and 7% vitamin K. Given the statistics, olive oil is undoubtedly packed with essential nutrients that are helpful for the body.

It is also high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory content. With the help of antioxidants, extra virgin olive oils can fight some diseases and prevent cholesterol. Oleic acid, which is also an essential fatty acid and most prominent in olive oils, is also very helpful in reducing inflammatory diseases, like cardiovascular diseases.

Other important benefits of olive oil

It helps fight Alzheimer’s disease, which is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases. When a person is affected by this disease, it is already irreversible, and the brain will slowly continue to deteriorate. Alzheimer’s disease causes a build-up of beta-amyloid plaques or protein tangles in some parts of the brain, and this greatly affects the brain functions such as memory and cognitive skills, and worse, even carrying out simple tasks are affected. One study about olive oil includes testing mice, and it was observed that certain substances in olive oil help in clearing the plaque. It is also proven that olive oil improves brain function and prevents cognitive disabilities.

Another disease that olive oil can fight is cancer. Although some treatments and therapies treat cancer, there is no cure yet. These cancer cells may continue to spread throughout the body uncontrollably. One of the main causes of cancer cells is the free radicals or harmful molecules from oxidation. But given that olive oil is rich in antioxidants, oxidative damage is reduced. Thus, using olive oil may lower the risk of getting cancer.

Conclusion

One of the healthiest fats is olive oil. Using olive oil provides surprising health benefits, such as fighting Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. Extra virgin olive oils give the most quintessential benefits because they are packed with significant nutrients and vitamins like vitamin K and E. Brands like The Olive Hunt produce the finest extra virgin olive oils that are guaranteed to be pure and healthy. These oils are antioxidants and anti-inflammatory. Olive oil will surely optimize people’s health and lifestyle.
